Flight times and operational experience go hand-in-hand. When deciding on the right contract pilot for your needs remember to consider not only flight times, but operational experience. A pilot with 25,000 hours of flight time flown entirely on preset domestic airline routes is not the same as a pilot with years of flying in foreign airpsace and remote locations. Make sure your contract pilot has experience in not only the aircraft but also flying in foreign countries, dealing with all of the various regulations and visa requirements as well as customs and cultural differences in a range of countries.
